Most players know the basics: runs = points, wickets = more points. But the Dream11 scoring system has layers — economy bonuses, milestone bonuses, fielding contributions — that separate players who score 150 from players who score 200 on the same match.
This guide covers every scoring category, with real examples from IPL 2026 matches.

| Century bonus | +16 for 100 runs |

Captain and Vice-Captain multipliers
| Role | Multiplier | Example (50-pt performance) |
|---|---|---|
| Captain | 2× | 50 × 2 = 100 pts |
| Vice-Captain | 1.5× | 50 × 1.5 = 75 pts |
| Regular | 1× | 50 × 1 = 50 pts |
Real example — Jasprit Bumrah vs RCB (IPL 2026)
Let's calculate Bumrah's fantasy score in a real match scenario:
Bumrah's stats: 4-0-24-3 (4 overs, 0 maidens, 24 runs, 3 wickets)
| 3 wickets | 3 × 25 = 75 pts |
| 24 runs conceded | -24 pts |
| Economy 6.00 (within 6–7 range) | +2 pts |
| Base score | = 53 pts |
| As Captain (2×) | = 106 pts |
Real example — Suryakumar Yadav vs KKR (IPL 2026)
SKY's stats: 45 runs off 28 balls (5×4, 2×6)
| 45 runs | +45 pts |
| 5 boundaries (4s) | +5 pts |
| 2 sixes | +4 pts |
| Strike rate 160.7 (150+ bonus) | +4 pts |
| Base score | = 58 pts |
| As Captain (2×) | = 116 pts |
The strike rate bonus trick
This is the most underused knowledge in fantasy cricket. A batter who scores 30 runs off 10 balls (SR 300) scores more than a batter who scores 30 off 25 (SR 120) — even though both scored the same runs.
For bowlers, the economy threshold is strict. Economy of 7.00 exactly gives +2 pts; economy of 7.01 gives 0 bonus. Know the exact economy brackets.
