IPL 2026 Strongest Playing XI for Each Team — Full Analysis

Every IPL 2026 squad dissected. Who makes the cut, who is a fantasy lock, and who is a Grand League differential. Covers all 10 teams.

IPL 2026 season has produced the most squad-depth in the league's history — partly because of the record auction spends, partly because the Impact Player rule continues to reshape how teams construct their XIs. This page gives you the strongest Playing XI for each of the 10 franchises, with fantasy credit estimates and captaincy guidance.

Fantasy tip: Credits listed (₹X.X cr) are estimates based on current IPL 2026 season pricing. Ownership and differential strategy notes help you choose between Grand League (GL) and Small League (SL) picks. SL = Small League (under 100 teams), GL = Grand League (1,000+ teams).

Impact Player rule — how it changes everything

The Impact Player rule lets teams substitute one player during the innings break. For fantasy, this means: (a) a player who starts on the bench can still score full points if brought in, and (b) team balance can shift dramatically depending on whether a team bats or fields first. Always check the match context before lock — a team batting second on a slow pitch will likely bring in a batter as Impact.

Fantasy captain picks for the title race

  • GL captains: Cameron Green (KKR), Suryakumar Yadav (MI), Sunil Narine (KKR)
  • SL captains: Jasprit Bumrah (all teams), Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK home), Ryan Rickelton (MI flat pitches)
  • Value differential: Corbin Bosch (MI), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (KKR), Shivam Dube (CSK)
